Show How, Don't Tell What - A Management Style


Ryan Tomayko, software engineer at Github wrote a rather nice blog post about management in a software organization - it is sort of how I feel things should be and am a strong proponent.

It basically says that management should be distributed among all members - we all must learn how to manage ourselves. The way to get around this would be for the manager to lead by example and show rather than tell people what to do without them learning from the process.
